Darius White

Darius White is a Baltimore City native, entrepreneur, and business owner whose work centers on real estate, community development, architecture, and placemaking—primarily in neighborhoods across Baltimore and Washington, D.C. Trained as both an architect and urban planner, Darius is a proud graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and Morgan State University. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Morgan in 2014, followed by a Master’s in City and Regional Planning in 2020.

Throughout his career, Darius has worked at various architecture and planning firms in Baltimore and D.C., gaining diverse experience across the public and private sectors. In 2019, he founded byzig studio, a small but impactful design studio rooted in community-driven work.

Educator and Public Speaker

In addition to his professional practice, Darius is a passionate educator and public speaker committed to cultivating the next generation of design leaders. As an adjunct professor in the Architecture and Community Planning program at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC), he teaches both the first-year architecture studio and the graduate-level urban design studio. His teaching approach is rooted in real-world problem solving, exposing students to practical applications of design while building critical thinking and community-driven values.
